Curtis Montague, Treasurer
I'm Curt Montague, 2010-15 Treasurer of the Montague Family Association Inc. (MFA). I'm 55 years old, divorced, with 3 kids and 2 grandkids. I live in Hill City, Kansas. USA and own Master Repair, a general repair company. I repair all sorts of small power tools, yard and outdoor equipment, as well as ATVs, UTVs, and motorcycles. I closely relate to Emmit Clark from the Andy Griffith Show of the late 60s. Emmit was the town handyman that could fix just about anything from a toaster, to a still. I am very comfortable in that role here in Hill City. My qualifications to be Treasurer of this organization include management positions in several companies during my younger years. I've owned and managed 2 small companies in the past 25 years. I helped start, served as treasurer, and president, of a 501(c)(3) public charity for a total of 10 years. It's been 20 years since we started Bikers of Central Kansas Association (BOCK) in 1990, and there have been massive changes in the rules for these organizations since then. I've been studying diligently to launch the Montague Family Association in a responsible, lawful, manner. We could have hired a company to do this for us, but I feel more comfortable knowing ,and being able to explain, our position as a public charity, than having to be constantly calling someone to explain situations that arise. Secondly, I'm as tight with a dime as anyone around. My pet peeve is to spend money needlessly, or waste money that people have entrusted to me. I take stewardship of the Montague Family Association very seriously. I'll do my very best to make this everything that our founders hoped it would be.
