Minutes of MFA Meeting, March 31, 2014
• The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m., EST. In attendance were Jo Anne St.
Clair, President; Suzanne Hamilton, Secretary, Curt Montague, Treasurer & Robert V.
Montague, Historian.
• The minutes from the February 24, 2014 meeting were reviewed and approved.
• Treasurer’s report: We started the month with $1,139.17 in the bank and we had one
new member join through PayPal. That netted $23.97. We had no debits, so our
current balance is $1,163.14. We have $800.00 in the mass mailing account and
$363.14 in the general fund
• The Treasurer’s report was approved as submitted.
• President’s report: Jo Anne stated that she had been encouraging people to take the
reunion survey & was eager to hear responses about the 2015 reunion location. There
has been good response to the one page newsletter sent by Robert V. Montague &
more response to the online survey but not enough for a consensus about the
location.
• A discussion took place regarding reunion locations & the need for committees to
handle the various interests of the Montague Family Association. It was confirmed
that a decision about the reunion location was needed by August 2014. It was also
decided that Robert V. Montague & Suzanne Hamilton would start working on reunion
venues.
• The date for the next meeting was set for April 28, 2014, at 7:30 p.m., EST.
• There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:50 p.m. EST.
